Our Story

From an NYC Hoops Dilemma to the #1 Pickup Basketball Network in the Country.

The Problem

Our Founder, Josh Somers had one bone to pick with living in NYC (we won’t get started with the L train and noise pollution) - finding consistently good pickup basketball. The outdoor parks were either overcrowded or empty. The games were unreliable. And unless you were elite, getting invites to the select runs in the city were hard to come by. Too much hassle trying to hoop!

The Solution

We built something better. What started as better pickup experiences became neighborhood hubs where strangers became teammates. A movement was born with IndoorHoops.

The Growth

From one gym to 20+ locations across Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn. Then Chicago. With over 40,000 members and 150+ runs per week, the "Ball for All" motto wasn't just our slogan—it was our promise.

The Evolution

Over the past year, we realized something: "Ball for All" was bigger than just pickup basketball. It represented inclusive, community-centered athletics across all sports, age groups and programming.

That's where AllBall was born.

Today

We're still that group who just wanted better pickup games. Now we're building community spaces beyond hoops — whatever brings people together through sport & play.

One thing hasn't changed: We believe sports are better when everyone gets to play.
